Who we are
bb landscaping, the operator of FenceQuote ("we", "us"), is the data controller for personal data collected through the FenceQuote service. If you have questions about this notice or your data, you can contact us through the app.
What personal data we collect
- Account data — name (if provided), email address, login credentials for your account.
- Subscription and billing data — plan, price, subscription status and period. Card and payment details are collected and held by Paddle as Merchant of Record, not by us.
- Usage data — feature usage, device identifiers, IP address, browser type, and error logs, collected to keep the service working and improving.
Why we use it and our legal basis
- Providing the service — creating and securing your account and granting subscription access. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Payments and subscriptions — processing orders and subscriptions through Paddle. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Security and fraud prevention — protecting accounts and preventing abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.
- Product improvement — understanding how the service is used. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.
- Support — responding to your questions. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
Who we share data with
- Paddle.com — our Merchant of Record and reseller, which handles checkout, subscriptions, payments, tax compliance and invoicing, and provides customer service for orders.
- Service providers — hosting (including our app, database and authentication providers), analytics and support tooling, who process data on our instructions.
- Professional advisers — legal and accounting professionals, where needed.
- Authorities — where we are required to by law.
International transfers
Data may be transferred outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens, we rely on safeguards such as the UK Information Commissioner's international data transfer agreement/addendum, standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.
How long we keep data
We keep account and subscription data while your subscription is active and for as long as needed for billing, tax and legal records. When your data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). We respond to requests within one month.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit and at rest and access controls.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and keep the service secure. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though signing in may stop working.
